Who We Are
A directory built by people who care about local churches
Reaching America is an independent Christian initiative that organizes information about Independent Baptist churches across the United States. Our team gathers, checks, and publishes what we can verify, and we label what remains unknown.
We are not a denomination with a central office. We are a small group of researchers, field workers, and church members who want visitors to see clearly where listings are confirmed and where more work is needed.
Our Mission
Three commitments that guide the work
National awareness
Help people across the United States find Independent Baptist churches near them and see where local congregations are active.
Database accuracy
Publish only verified listings, mark demonstration data clearly, and state plainly when information is unavailable for a county.
New church starts
Encourage the planting of new Baptist churches in communities that lack a local congregation, and support those who answer that call.
Our Beliefs
Convictions that shape every listing
We hold to the authority of Scripture and the historic Baptist emphasis on local churches. These convictions guide which congregations we list and how we describe them.
Biblical preaching
We value churches where the Bible is expounded faithfully and applied to everyday life, week after week.
Personal evangelism
We encourage believers to share the gospel with neighbors, coworkers, and families, trusting God to draw people to Christ.
Discipleship and local churches
We believe the local church is God's ordained place for teaching, accountability, and growth, and we seek to see more of them established.
